wintery day

It's currently 6:24am, i've been up since 3am doing assignments (oh, perennially unprepared one) so apologies in advance if this post in indecipherable...

Anyway, where was I going, yes, anyway, it's bloody cold at 6:24 in the morning. My little tootsies are freezing under my computer desk, but I can't go get my slippers cause the boyfriend is a light sleeper. These AMAZING pictures made me glad I am cold.

Had to go back and cross out what I said a few posts back about not focusing much on celebrity fashion, as that's all I seem to be posting about lately, but only the really exceptional ones.

Anyway, I am completely in love with this shoot Carey Mulligan did for Interview magazine. I don't know if it's the paint splatters, the styling or her, but it's just so visually appealing!! The whole thing kind of has a Chanel - slash- Sedgewick thing going on and I love it.

She makes me want to cut all my hair off and go blonde.

Erin is totally encapsulating the way I wish I looked today. Instead, I am rugged up trying to avoid the rain...
on an up note, it's cold, which always makes me smile.

Feeling a little disgruntled by the shopping opportunities in my hometown today, so I went to the uni to people watch, which is always both intriguing and inspiring. It's truly amazing how many people wear heels to class, by the way. Whatever. Spent about 45 mins in (dreaded) Diva today, before deciding that cheap jewelery is always just knockoff of designer stuff (duh jess!) and that you can only wear it for about 10 minutes before attached body part goes green anyway, so victory for my wallet!

Spent the rest of the afternoon applying for better jobs, as I am absurdly poor and need cash stat to support my online shopping habit. Net-a-porter, why do you have to be so expensive and irresistible.

P.S. Sorry, just read this back and realized that I sound like a total, wingey bitch. I have like a thousand assignments due before the end of the week, and I'm taking my frustration out on you wonderful people and for that I am sorry.

I'm not normally a huge lover of celebrity fashion (except for awards season, but they're all dressed by stylists so that doesn't count!!), but the Olsen twins seem to be the exception to the rule. I love the whole thing, and this really reinforces my belief that I need a brown leather satchel for this winter. You know, for uni and stuff... :)

P.S. If anyone knows where MK's boots are from, could you let me know.
